Do you provide in person sessions? Telehealth?
I provide both! In person sessions will occur at my office located at 1707 Main Street Suite 404, Longmont CO, 80501.
As long as you reside in and are in the state of Colorado, I can provide video telehealth services via the Sessions Health client portal or Google Meet (HIPAA Compliant).

How much does therapy cost?
1 hour individual sessions - $165.
1 hour couple/premarital sessions - $185
Certain pre-marital assessments (optional) are an additional one time fee (<$50)
I accept credit cards, debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards.
-
Do you accept insurance?
I do not currently accept insurance, but am looking into getting set up with a few insurance companies in the future. I will keep current clients and the website updated regarding this information.
I am happy to provide a “superbill” which is how you can get reimbursed from insurance while seeing a provider who is out-of-network (OON). We can discuss further in the consultation.
-
How often do we meet?
This depends on a few different things! I generally like to start off with either weekly or every 2 week sessions as there is a lot for me to learn about you, as well as the fact that the more we meet the quicker we will hopefully see some forward progress. I always try to be mindful of the financial commitment you are making as well, but when deciding if it is feasible, initially plan for 2-4 times a month.
As time goes on, and if both you and I feel like progress has been made and you are feeling stable, we can space out sessions as we enter into “maintenance mode.”

What is your cancellation policy?
Clients schedule sessions based on availability, so once you have a session scheduled, that time is not available for anyone else.
I require at least 24 hours notice to cancel without being charged. If cancelled within the 24 hours leading up to your appointment, you will be charged a reduced flat fee of $100 as it is difficult to fill that spot on such short notice. Please let me know if you have extenuating circumstances that may make this policy impact our time together.
-
Is your office ADA accessible?
There is a ramp at the building entrance and an elevator to take you to the 4th floor.
However, in the event of an incident disabling the elevators, stairs would be the only method of exiting the building.

Do you prescribe medications or offer crisis services?
No, my license and training does not allow for me to prescribe any medications. That being said, I am happy to periodically connect with your medical providers for coordination of care purposes!

I do not offer crisis services such as a crisis line or being on call outside of business hours. We can make a safety plan together in session for possible crisis situations.
Call or text 988 for the national and local crisis line.

It's my first time in therapy - what should I expect?
Welcome - I am so glad you are here! My primary goal is to make sure this is a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental place for you to process your concerns and work towards your goals.
We will start with a free, 15 minute consultation to chat a little bit about what is bringing you to therapy, and to answer any additional questions you have about the process, to make sure we would be a good fit!
If you decide to schedule an intake (first session), you will be sent consent forms and paperwork to fill out PRIOR to your intake session. These shouldn’t take more than 15-20 minutes, if that.
Your intake session has a different feel than the sessions that follow. During the intake, I am asking a lot of questions in an effort to get to know as much as I can about the problem(s) bringing you to therapy, get to know you, and understand your goals. We will make a plan for moving forward (goals, frequency of sessions, etc) that can always be adjusted if needed.

How do you structure your couples therapy sessions?
Couples therapy will begin with a joint, 60 minute intake session (with all of us together) to get a deeper understanding of the conflict(s) prompting you to seek out couples therapy. Next, each person within the relationship with have a 1 on 1 individual session with me so that I can get to know you and your perspective of the situation(s) personally.
I recognize that it can be difficult to be fully open and speak freely with your partner next to you in session, especially at the start of therapy. While there is no secret keeping from these individual sessions, I have found it can be helpful for each partner to have the space to share their perspectives freely without worrying about word choice or how their feelings may impact their partner.
After the individual sessions, we will move forward with joint sessions where all partners are present.
